Tragedy for BMC and Nalerigu

On Thursday night, 12 November 2009 Moses Alando Banaba was on his way home from work at the hospital when he was attacked and shot three times with a high power rifle. He was taken to the hospital in shock and did not survive. Anyone who has been at BMC in the past twenty years should have met Alando in the pharmacy. He has been an important and respected part of the hospital. He has been a good friend to many of us through the years. Most recently he has been in charge of the pharmacy and a part of the management team.

He has also been active in the community, formerly teaching at the high school and running for political office. He will be greatly missed by his family, the community, the hospital and all of us who knew him.

Please pray for Alando’s family, for the hospital staff and for the community.

This is a sad and difficult time for the family of the late Alando, family relations, friends, the community and Ghana as a whole. This man in his whole life has been very instrumental to the lives of the people around the community, the youth of mamprugu and many across. He is one man who has managed the hospital pharmacy(BMC-NALERIGU) if not better then best i should say.I have personally encountered him and the kind of guidance and advice i recieved from him was enormous. It seem like a dream but not a reality. He was a gentle man, very helpful to humanity(financially and socially)and above all lovely. This inhuman, barbaric, and ferocious act should be condemned by all and the perpetrators should be made to face the full rigors of the law.
We continue to ask for prayers for the poor children and the family as a whole, that the true lord will provide even more than what Mr. Alans would have provided. We should also pray him as he departs.
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN THE BLISS OF BOSOM

As a royal I grew up Nalerigu Baptist Centre where my mother is a midwife and now made the O.P.D incharge after the depatcher of Mrs fail.We grew up to meet so many missionaries come and go each with his or her speciality.Of recent times the hospital has been faced by so many problems due to poor management and lack of financial, marketing and human resource discipline and expertise. All these anormalies are hindering the progress of these once grate hospital which was known by the whole country.I quite remember that there was no room for a worker of this hospital to engage he or herself in gross disrespect to management or who ever was incharge of affairs, why because authorities as at that time disciplined themselves to set good examples for the surbodinates to follow today what do we see is a different issue all together that is not to say I have facts about somebody who has misconducted he or herself NO and can’t also say if people haven’t done it because am not a worker of BMC but the petinent issues are what I have seem as I worked there years back.Am a professional Marketer and can see beyond what the management can see call that a BLUF suffice that to mention a recent coward,un-called for, childish, lack of intelligence, outrageous and popostrous night letter that was written to condemn certain workers of the hospital,I expected that if they had brains they would have come out to address their concerns genuinly but not to paste it and hide their faces how will your concerns be addressed?is a shame for the history of BMC who I hear now struggle to buy medicine for the pharmacy WHY WHY WHY? not sure my towel can dry my tears so sad please stop attacking your fellow workers come together and save the hospital for what your doing is rather killing the hospital softly behave like matured people and interlectuals and tackle issues perfectly long live the workers long live BMC am out GOD BLESS.
