Celebration Setup

Most of the setup for the big event on Saturday was done the previous afternoon. However, a huge thunderstorm rolled through in the early morning hours and blew over the chairs, tents, and decorations. As a result, the program began quite late on Saturday morning as workers and volunteers scrambled to set every thing up again. Thank you everyone who pitched in!

Today’s big event was a series of fun activities for the ladies at BMC. Held on the hospital football park, the women had spoon&egg races, sack races, tug of war, and more. A very large crowd turned out to watch the fun.

BMC Employees Clean Up Nalerigu

This morning at 9AM, dozens of hospital workers and their relatives met at Nalerigu’s main station for an act of community service. They swept and raked up all the trash in the town’s central area and cut the grass around the paramount chief’s palace. Drummers followed along and kept up a constant rhythm to help motivate the volunteers.
